About Us
Rae Jean Reck, founder of Good Earth Enterprises, graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Management from Cal Poly, in San Luis Obispo. “Agriculture has always been in my blood, I appreciate the delicate challenge of farming the earth without disrupting the eco balance”.
After 20 years of active agriculture experience with various companies, primarily in produce, she decided to venture into more independent work. “My background includes experience with large corporate farming to small family farms. Over time I gradually worked my way from selling thousands of cases of iceberg lettuce into smaller farming operations. The time and experience gave me an exceptional view over the span of farming. I found that I enjoyed the smaller environments best. My work in produce witnessed some exciting changes and growth into specialty vegetables, baby vegetables, herbs and organically grown food. I love agriculture; I feel it is important to support American farmers, particularly the small farm. This way of life is dying in America and I think that is unfortunate.” All of this information supports the reason for choosing Fresh Cab as the initial product offered by Good Earth Enterprises.
